Geriatric Hospice & Holistic Care
Geriatric care management is the process of planning and coordinating care of the elderly and others with physical and/or mental impairments to meet their long term care needs, improve their quality of life and maintain their independence for as long as possible. Geriatrician also helps senior citizens manage their overall health and well being.
A rehabilitation program for patients with major health & rehab issues like surgery, stroke, injury to central nervous system, cardiac problems, patients discharged from hospital in a bed-ridden condition & any health issue where 24X7 health care is required. We provide the necessary support with the help of our team of trained nursing staff, attendants, OT & PT, speciality Medical Professionals on call, dietician, social workers and counsellors.
Palliative Care Centre
Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of elderly and their families who are facing problems associated with life-threatening illness due to disease &/or advanced age.
It prevents & relieves suffering through the early identification, correct assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, whether physical, psychosocial or spiritual. Jeevan Suraksha is a unique HOME for elderly who are in medically terminal condition, where active medication plays lesser role and mainly nursing care is of use. The illness varies from advanced aging to cancer. Along with malignant diseases palliative care is beneficial for problems associated to heart, brain, liver, kidney, lungs, etc.
Dispensary on Wheels
Our on call mobile van with Nurse, Paramedic along with First-Aid kit & dressing material visits patient at their home to serve.
The staff is capable to care conditions like wounds, Bedsores, Nebulisation, Enema, Sponge bath, Urine Catheterization, Ryle’s Tube care, Tracheotomy Tube care, Saline, Oxygen support, Rehabilitation, Suction (Oral, Nasal, TT), etc. Our mobile van is equipped with all the medical equipments related to services mentioned above.
Dispensary & Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens
We have an OPD for elderly aged patients, where our doctor & nursing staff do a general medical check-up of blood pressure, blood sugar, body weight and other health problems on regular basis. We keep the track record of patient’s health to show to their treating physician as & when required.
Physical ailments which are not always caused by disease but are also caused due to physical infirmity; and this is enough to make them bedridden, hence we also run a Day Care facility for the elderly people. At this facility working relatives who cannot care for their elderly due to their absence at home can leave them with us and we take complete care of them for the specified time. Thus, the family members can manage their work and family both in a balanced manner.
Patient’s Health Care at HOME (PHC at HOME)
Its a Home Based Health Care Unit working for Mobile, Semi bedridden, Bedridden & sick at their HOME in their family’s surrounding.
We provide attendants, social workers, nurse, physiotherapists & doctors at patients Home to care for them. The above mentioned staff work as per their needs and provides varied services right from Bath, General nursing, Dressings, Wound & Bedsore management, care & insertion of Urine Catheter, Ryle’s Tube insertion and management, Saline, Injections, Nebulization, Blood Pressure monitoring, Blood Sugar test and many more services which a trained nursing staff can provide at home.
Health Care Giver Training for Women
Empowering women specially who are single – widow by providing them training of Health Care Giver in geriatrics and nursing assistance, enabling them to become independent at the same time helping elderly aged by providing professional care.
We train women via audio-visuals and hands on practice on various types of mannequins. Few topics of trainings are helping elderly to get in & out of bed, bed making, personal hygiene, maintaining intake & output record, checking blood pressure & blood sugar, body temperature. Besides this in case of emergency how to manage the patient, call the doctor & manage till arrival of ambulance.
First-Aid & Geriatric Care Training for Patient’s Family & Volunteers
We have a training unit for the general public, who wish to serve their beloved as well as the society.
This is a certificate training in which we train them on how to manage a medical emergency situation in absence of medical staff. During the training candidates are taught correct ways to care and prevent bedsore, nursing care, care & management of urine catheter, Ryle’s Tube care, mobility exercises, correct way to provide bedpan, urine pot and prevention of cross infection with Aseptic precautions, etc. Training is provided by means of audio-visuals, demonstrations & hands on practice on various Mannequins.
